On The Open Sea
PROJECT
«On The Open Sea» is a project which was inspired by the tragic events of the so-called "Perfect Storm" in November 1991. During that storm, the shipping vessel Andrea Gail and its crew got lost at sea while on the hunt for swordfish.
The artworks were created by processing existing photos and paintings and experimenting with analogue and digital techniques. The aim was to express both the romanticism and the roughness of the Atlantic Ocean and the life of fishermen.
